The Beach trip

We went to the beach together for Mila's 1st birthday and had a blast. It was a beautiful day and we got to spend it with great family and friends. It was Jude's first time playing in the sand and he had so much fun. Here are some sample photos of the day but you can find more on my facebook or at http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g261/katiesue_2006/Family%20beach%20trip/ (link to photobucket). We had so much fun and 5 outfits, 150 photos later, Jude was pooped. He fell asleep on the long ride home. It was such a good day and we had a great time as a family!
OH I ALMOST FORGOT... Jude stands all by himself now!

Jude's First Haircut

Yes! We did it! We decided that Jude needed a haircut. His little curls are to die for but it was getting unruly. It was not only starting to look a little feminine but the curls were growing into his ears and tickling him. When he would wake up from naps, his hair would be knotted in the back and it would be a little mini fro. We knew we had to do something, and as tragic as it was, it was for the better. He looks so handsome now with his "big boy haircut" and I am glad we did it. Of course I saved every last strand and we also have hundreds of photos to remember it by. Let me know what you think.

Just another yummy dinner...

I actually got shandan to eat asparagus. I am so proud. :)
We had a delicious dinner tonight consisting of
organic, whole wheat pasta
organic four cheese pasta sauce
organic lean ground beef
asparagus
dave's killer good seed bread w/butter

It was so yummy and healthy too! I am so happy that he ate it! If you don't know shandan, then you wouldn't know he would eat pizza, top ramen, and cheeseburgers all day, everyday for the rest of his life if you let him. He never eats anything green or anything healthy. He loves red bulls and coke zero. But I am so happy to say that he has been eating the healthy meals I have been making him. He eats oatmeal or multi-grain cheerios in the morning], pb&j (on whole wheat) or lean turkey burgers for lunches, and my healthy meals (veggies included) at night. I admit, he's not perfect yet but he has much improved and it makes me happy to know. I am so blessed to have a husband like him. I pray I can continue to feed my family healthy, organic meals for the rest of their lives.
